The Bergbahnen Brandnertal transport skiers to a world of pistes that provides an ideal learning environment. Wide pistes, easy runs and various levels of difficulty – ideal conditions for beginners.
Easy pistes in the Brandnertal
The ski area in the heart of the Brandnertal stretches across 64.4 kilometres of piste. But it's not just the sheer number of kilometres of piste that counts, but also their division into various levels of difficulty. 20 km are easy beginner slopes, 40 km are categorised as having a medium degree of difficulty, and 4 km of the pistes are intended for experts only.
Beginner lifts
Schedlerhoflift in the valley
The "Schedlerhof" drag lift, located in the village of Brand, is ideal for the first attempts on skis. The short beginner lift and wide piste are a favourite among ski beginners and their families & companions. The terrace at Thomy’s Liftstüble is the perfect spot to record and observe the first practice runs on skis. To keep energy levels high, Thomy offers small snacks and a selection of beverages at his Liftstüble. There is also the option to purchase a lift pass just for the Schedlerhoflift if desired.
Tschenglalift at Bürserberg
In the Bürserberg area, you'll find the Tschengla drag lift.
Here, too, chaperones can get a direct view of the lower portion of the lift from the terrace of the restaurant "Unicorn", and you can purchase passes intended exclusively for this drag lift.
Palüd magic carpet
A special highlight for ski beginners is located in the ski area of Palüd. Directly next to the summit station of the Palüd cable car is a publicly accessible magic carpet. With a valid pass for the Palüdbahn, use of the magic carpet is free of charge. The area is fenced in and especially flat to ensure everyone's safety – ideal conditions for the first turns in the snow. Various places to stop for refreshments, such as Gasthof Melkboden or the self-service restaurant Goona, are just a few steps away.
Melkboden button lift
Also located in the Palüd ski area is the Melkboden button lift.
Alongside the flat beginner piste, a further highlight is to be found here: the Backyards Snowpark is directly adjacent to this area. Easy ski jumps for skiing beginners provide variety and excitement for the whole family.
