Tips & Emergency Contacts

Marking of Snowshoe Tours on Site

Our snowshoe tours and winter hiking trails are signposted with pink directional arrows and marker poles.

If there are no traces (for example, in fresh snow) or in the case of insufficient knowledge of the area, we recommend participating in a guided snowshoe tour. Our experienced mountain guides will guide you safely through the winter landscape and have some adventurous stories in store.

We recommend courageous loners to pay attention to weather reports and avalanche warnings and to equip themselves with appropriate equipment.

Explanation of Tour Descriptions

Difficulty

Easy: also suitable for beginners. The orientation is simple. Switchbacks are rarely required.
Medium: good condition and experience when creating the track are required. You may have to cover longer sections with switchbacks.
Hard: only for experienced tour operators. Allow no slip-ups in certain sections of the route.

Avalanche Danger

Low: mostly low risk with appropriate route choice.
Means: include sections of the route that are reason enough to stop the tour early in the event of unfavorable snow build-up or strong day heating, even if the route is selected carefully.
High: Tour may only be tackled in very safe conditions.

Of course, a careful assessment and assessment of the current threat situation can not be replaced by this categorization!
