Stuttgarter Hütte (2310 m)
High above Zürs on the Krabachjoch lies the Stuttgarter Hütte in the middle of the Valluga Group. It marks the western base of the Lechtaler Höhenweg, which balances between Flexenpass and Fernpass 100 kilometers over the main ridge of the Lechtaler Alps. The Lechquellenrunde and the famous Tiroler Adlerweg also touch the hut.
If you want to ascend from the valley, you can reach the hut from Zürs or Lech (mountain station Rüfikopfbahn). The walking time is about two hours.
The view up there is magnificent. All around are the alluring peaks of Rüfi, Fanggekar and Erlispitze, all over 2600 meters high. Then the steep Roggspitze (2747 meters) and, of course, Her Majesty: the 2809-meter Valluga. Eisenweg fans will be pleased with the proximity to the Arlberg via ferrata between Valluga and Weißschrofenspitze.
The Stuttgarter Hütte has large mattress dormitories, smaller shared rooms and a mattress dormitory in the winter room.
