Spullersee

The Spullersee is an originally natural high mountain lake in Vorarlberg. It was dammed up between 1919 and 1925 by the Austrian Federal Railways on the occasion of the electrification of the Arlberg Railway and has since been used for energy generation. In addition to numerous hikes on and around the Spullersee, this is also a popular fishing spot. Whether rainbow, brook or lake trout, lake or brook trout, beautiful salmonids can be caught at almost any point of the approximately 50-acre reservoir.

The Spullersee can be reached in several ways: on foot from the Klostertal and from Lech am Arlberg with the hiking bus (fee required) or by bike through the Zugertal.

The access by car to the Spullersee is only possible via the toll road from the district Zug. In addition, there is a general ban on driving between 08:00 and 16:30, as well as all day on Wednesday, but during this time the hiking bus runs regularly (for a fee).
