Meersburg castle
Meersburg Castle, also Old Castle, in Meesburg at Lake Constance is
considered according to a legend by its construction in the 7th century
as the oldest inhabited castle in Germany. Their striking view makes it
a landmark of the region.
Open to the public since the end of the 19th century, it is one of the
main attractions, and the visit at the museum will be an unforgettable
experience. More than 30 furnished rooms, including the prison, the
torture chamber and treaseure chamber in the tower, gives a
fascinating insight into times long past.
