Everything you need to know about the avalanche catastrophe in 1954 at the Großes Walsertal.

The avalanche documentation centre is located in the Blons community centre. In the exhibition about the avalanche catastrophe of 1954, you will learn interesting facts about the catastrophe and the measures taken to increase avalanche safety by means of original reports and films.

Three theme trails (Leusorgweg, Schutzwaldweg and Verbauungsweg) were built to commemorate 50 years of the avalanche disaster.
